You ask what my PCP progression was?



Imagine a snowball that a kid made. It's rolling down a snowy hill.
Picks up speed.
Picks up more snow.
Gets bigger.
And it gets a lot faster.
And BIGGER.
FASTER!

And BIGGER!​

Still BIGGER!​

And then...
...it ceases to be a snowball.

It transforms itself into "the side of a mountain".
An angry mountain.


I'm in the village a the foot of the mountain.
Watching.
With amazement!
So fast!
So big!

How is the cricket 2? Is there a regulator? I'm curious about their guns

Yes sir it is regulated. Gun is great quality all around, few things to consider:

Very accurate and well moderated with the factory shroud. I added a DFL Tatsu and it is as quiet as I could ask for.

I wish the safety was more tactile, it is very loose feeling with no positive click or anything.

For me, it's not a gun I would take into the woods or toss in my vehicle, it's a bench gun. Only downside is the stock doesn't take well to "bag riding", kinda hard to find a good spot to rest.

Overall, great build quality and extremely accurate and easy gun to shoot well. It would be the 1 gun I have that I would pick to make "The Shot".

Looks like an "87" I had an "86" that over time was very heavily modified and raced in Nor-Cal at woods enduro & hare scramble events. Was a Great M/C !!!

Al Bakers XR's only was my go to for much in that era.

1st pcp was a .25 cal Avenger, sold it.
2nd AEA 357 big bore
3rd .257 Texan, sold it.
4th .308 Texan. since I have the pcps that cover what I hunt but would love a .25 cal. In its place I have reliable air, 2 compressors.

Nope a few months later I traded it in on the Harrier.

Edit, a very nice MP, all brass, steel, and walnut, but not great for FT because it's not easy to pump, which is why I went for a PCP.
