Pcp or springer

I will check out the dive shop fill pressure. I don’t know if they are armor plated but my dog and I were in deep with one in the garage a while back. All kind of hell broke lose, pellet gun didn’t do it ( didn’t even make him change his mind, after 6 self defense type shots, could not aim , things were happening way to fast) so I took to beating them with a stick. Wife said it sounded like we were in a fight with a bear. Actually it was two coons, it was crazy intense.

LOL I’m sure that wasn’t funny for you especially when it happened but I’m sitting here visualizing that and laughing my butt off. For close combat you might want to consider a pistol or a base ball bat. Not sure an expensive air rifle is going to get it done for you. Check out the HW 44 pistol. Accurate as any rifle out to 25 yards and might work way better for what you are trying to do. Put a lazer sight or a red dot on it and be prepared

On the Royale line of rifle they have a 3 level power wheel. Very convenient to have. I enjoyed using the low power setting for plinking fun and I use high for longer range shots. My Streamline has the same awesome feature. Both were.22 caliber. On low power only the action is heard when the rifle fires.

The Streamline would be another one to consider without breaking the bank. They are long once a moderator of added.

PCP or Springer.....is that a question? If so, I would say....both.

As for PCPs, if you don’t have the know how or he time, deal with a reputable nearby dealer that will backup the gun, and can provide service if need be. Make sure you can get air and you are comfortable with how to get air. Hand pump, Nitrogen tank, booster, or compressor.

If no nearby dealer, make sure you are willing to ship the gun if needed.

Do your homework and you will be just fine.
