PCP Guy gets a FWB300S

I guess I wanted to see what all the hoopla was about plus most of my Winter shooting at 25yds. When Jim Edmsonson dangled a really nice left hand 300S in front of me I jumped. It arrived this week (having survived a train derailment enrout from Ca.) and I had a chance to play with it some. Well all I can say is WOW! It just screams quality and for a gun that's older than many members of this forum, it's in great shape. The only problems I've encountered are FPS and mounting a scope. The shot strings average 565fps which might be a tad slow (not sure). All of my scopes are long enough to make loading a problem. I've got an extended dove tail to pic rail adapter coming. Hopefully that will solve the scope problem. As for speed, not sure if it needs to be resealed (Joe?). I'll post some pics when I get either the SWFA 10X or the Aztec 3-18X mounted.

or in between?

I have not had much of a problem loading pellets but maybe my mounts are higher?

Joe the limited testing I've done has been done with JSB 7.87s. I'll get some 7.33s and see how they do. As soon as I get the scope (mount type, location, height) mounted I'll see how well it shoots. The tall scope riser that I saw pictured on one of your guns would solve all of the loading problems (fat thumb, small space due to scope bell) but how about cheek weld? This was my first dealing with Jim Edmondson but I agree completely with how you described him. Great guy! The gun is exactly as he described it and his prices seem fair. I wouldn't hesitate in buying from him in the future. Uj
