Pcp air rifle hand pumps

i've had a gauntlet .25 and a $40 china pump from walmart for almost a year and no problems it is my first and only PCP experience and i've been very happy with it . for similar or less $ if i were buying now i'd still get the china hand pump , but the Air Venturi Avenger looks very interesting . i have put a few drops of 30cst TLR on the shaft of the pump a few times and no rebuild has been needed yet either . but hand pumping isn't really fun and i'm 58 sooo , i'm interested on the umarex ready air when ever i becomes available .

My advice is a pump is an expendable item.

I have had the Hill pump, the FX 4 stage, Logun pump and a slew of others. To date, the BEST pump I have used is a $40 Ebay pump from China. Hate to say it, but it's the truth. I have a compressor now, but I do use this pump still for pistols and I have used it for years with NO issues.

All the others mentioned had issues... and I couldnt tell a different with the 4 stage vs others. If my current pump died tomorrow, I would buy another for $40.

Pumping PCP's sucks... I wont lie. But I would never spend $$$ on a pump again. Not when I can get the same thing or better for $40-$50

They did mention Hill so you should buy the $49 dry pack too to you keep moisture from getting into that gun especially doing that VERY VERY VERY STRESS RELIEVING AND THERAPEUTIC 150 PUMP STROKES every time you top it off between shooting it. I bet your ammo bill will probably be very low compared to most others with a tank or compressor.

Just get the cheapest China pump dude. Make sure you buy a 15 dollar paintball inline filter off Amazon or eBay and buy some desiccant beads to insert in between the two filters. This will remove all moisture from your air. I have used 2 China pumps for over 2 years now and both are still going strong. However do not pump to 4500psi.dont know why you would want to but the pumps claim to be able to do it.... They can't. I tried. Oring blew out and it sucked. I pump to 3300 psi all the time tho. Gluck

Any way you could post a picture of how and what kind of filters , fitting your using ?

 i bought two of these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M8LBMN4

the first is filled with these:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084P943ZT larger filters

the second has the included smaller filters, and in between molecular sieve: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W62755W

i took the foster fitting off one, and a nozzle off the other, and screwed them directly into each other to make a longer solid filter.

in order i have pump->hose->filter with fabric only filters->filter with molecular sieve-> gun

Has anyone built an extended handle/lever to assist in using a hand pump? I am 70 and don't know if a pump would be doable for me or not. I am currently very fit, but don't know what 5 years will bring.

I envision a lever attached by a hinge to a frame or wall at a little lower than the height of the pump, with pump handle attached a couple of feet from the hinge. The lever would extend a couple/few feet past the pump and add leverage to assist in the function of the pump. It seems like it would work.

Would like a PCP but getting a tank filled in my rural area is inconvenient at best. Cost is also a real factor.

Would something like this be fine to use in a filter?
