Pathera's valve is BIGGER than Impact's valve!

It did not surprise me. The impact is made to accomodate all powerlevels from .177, and up to at least .25 without changing any parts. When you buy a panthera it probably has different internal caliber specific parts (lighter hammer and/or differrent valve spring) all depending on caliber. Maybe a .177 version will see a smaller valve, as bigger is not always better? The valve housing itself seems easy to replace with a smaller one.

What I personally find interesting is that it seems to be quiet modular. My guess is there some time in the future also will come a semi bullpup version, similiar to the dreampup. The attachment for a front bottle is already present. That will satisfy thouse customers who prefer a shorter gun.

When I saw the accommodation for the front bottle, Crown MKIII came to mind.
I think FX would sell more of the Crown with that block than the Panthera. The shot count would go way up and the power would hopefully stay the same or close to the same. I did not get a Panthera because of the shot count. Now the wait to see what else they do with the platform.

I think now that the platform is being tested with the panthera, we’re going to be seeing a lot of integration into their other platforms. It would be nice to see a crown with some significant enhancements over the last. While it is perfect for what it is currently, it could use some help in the plenum and power department.

I’m sure fx tested it as well.
Im just thinking long term use. That has got to be thinnest valve wall and sealing surface I’ve seen on a stock gun

It is very little compared to the impact. But the thin wall is supported by the action so it can’t go anywhere, my theory at least. I’m sure FX has tested it thoroughly or they can replace a lot of valves next 3 years.

My guess is different valve for different caliber or length. Just look at how easily accessible the valve parts are they all look to be very modular.

FX talked about this front bottle capability and future rifle in one of their videos. I agree, I hope they upgrade the Crown to this in close to this style chassis and I will have one. I loved my Saber Crown. I love the look of this, but don’t like the shot count. I could tether though. I understand that the look won’t be like this because of the bottle, but I could still be ok with it.
