Parallax setting.

Hello, newbie here. This will be my first post, glad to be here.

Anyways what does this "H:15/L:8" setting mean? It's from a Discovery ED Gen2 3-15x50 scope.

I read this from a YT review: "It means that if you have it at low power, it's good for 8 yards, at high power or 15, it'd be 15 yard parallax adjustment". By "power" is meant magnification.
