FX Panthera puff of air

Hello. I have a question about the the fx panthera more specifically the little hole on the right side of the gun next to the action I've had this Gun for a while now and I just switched the reg out to a huma regulator and when I gassed it back up and took a few dry fires I noticed a pretty decent puff of air coming out of that little hole so I don't know if it's just me or if I have a blown oring so any input on this would be greatly appreciated. That hole there is a vent for the hammer. There is one on both sides. I suppose you could have air leaking from the valve itself. The valve is right / next to it.

Maybe you smacked the valve to hard and it needs to be reset. My guess.

Are you losing air. Can you heat air leaking from the barrel. There is only 2 ways to get air out that hole you pointed out. Air being pushed from the hammer, or somehow air from the valve not seated all the way. Buy usually when the valve is screwed, the gun will bleed out the barrel.

You would need to degas and remove the complete barrel assembly. Its partly covered by the barrel plenum tube. The cover that holds it in.

Number 6 is the o-ring on the front of the valve. If that is busted or not seated correctly, air will push out into the hammer chamber along with the transfer port.

Wow thank you for all the information I really appreciate it but I don't think that that is the problem because it only happens when I shoot it puffs out that hole.

Will that happen until the gun is empty or just a puff when you fire it?

Right when you shoot it. It's only supposed come out the transfer port and then barrel, but since the valve is screwed, it being redirected. The valve can also bleed the gun empty. Your case is the o-ring downstream of the valve seat. Send it in.

Okay I appreciate it I'm not a big fan of sending guns in so I'll probably try to fix it myself so I appreciate your help diagnosing it.

Actually, probably the vale stem o-ring.

Did you have any luck fixing your issue? I'm having the same problem now. Can't shoot faster than about 700fps and air coming out of the hammer vent holes. Was it that B6 seal on the stem seat?

The actual valve stem seal is X1-8.
B6 sits on the OD of the valve body. It can be either one of the 2 but probably X1-8. Either way, you need to pull out the valve.

Slight correction, B6 rest in the block and not on the valve. So when you remove the valve assembly, it won't come along with it.
