Panthera— first thoughts after a week

Received Fx Panthera 25 cal. 700mm liner one week ago from @BulletCentral .
First impression is WOW. The new valve system in the gun produces very little deviation in fps — as in 4 fps in a ten shot series. I’ve tried @AVS slugs in 44 and 46 grain cup base and flat base and it prefers the 44 grain cup base, (.2503) shooting hole in hole at 50 yards at 960 feet per second.
I must say it is an amazing shooting gun and I look forward to more slug testing.

I agree. It is not for everyone. I went from shooting at 50 yds straight to 200 yds 4 inch plate with little effort. 10 shots all on plate. The gun is more accurate then what my abilities are

No more excuses then 😆 I think half the tinkering I do on my daystate regal is to shake off the fact that I might just not be a consistent 50 yard MOA shooter.. but shh

Yeah, this. We want to hear how it only gets six shot before it needs a refill, that it's uncomfortable to hold and that it only likes slugs made by monks in the wild mountains of wherever that cost big bucks. Oh yeah, and that it's too long and how your Avenger outshoots it. That's what we want to hear. Or what our wallets want to hear.

At the very least I can help with the long standing FX reputation of long wait or when they announce a new product but won’t have any to sell. Still waiting for mine after a month and might not get get mine for another 4 weeks so for now I can join the haters ball. The wait is unacceptable because it’s a FX, but 1.5 year wait on another high dollar gun is completely cool.

Also don’t forget the soda straw not suppose to shoot well and also the number of orings…….I’m sure I forgot something else, getting old sucks.

Can you tell us what your shot count is at those numbers?

Why not simply stay on point? And talk about the actual gun? Just talk about the actual PCP in question, it’s a given we all have our favorites. We all love Airguns, whatever the shortcomings of any particular platform. Though I’m not interested in the Panthera, I am interested in what further developments come from this new PCP. Same for the new Skout, what’s the trickle down?

I was not actually criticizing the gun,....just making a little fun of those that cannot help but criticizing it.

I know you weren’t… I simply meant derailing the thread… by criticizing those who might or would “criticize“? The OP is simply providing good info.
