Anybody shooting the compact hunter in 30 cal want to share their setup?
You're going to be amazed how fast that gun can drain a big air tank.Im taking delivery of a .30 compact hunter tomorrow, thrown in with the package was FX Hybrids, JSB Hades, H&N HP2 50gr, FX Pellets & some Zan slugs, of which I don't know the weight.......& ive no idea where to startlooks like im going to be wasting a lot of air & lead.
I'll be extremely interested to see if you reach those speeds, I've spent way to much lead & air trying to obtain your goals in my .30 hunter compact.I'll be taking delivery of mine this weekend. The website says 107fpe is possible, which seems pretty outlandish for a 395mm barrel!
So.... what power are you guys able to achieve? I'd be pretty happy with 100fpe and no I don't care how fast it drains the bottle because I'll have 880ccs between my tanks in a dual bottle setup.
Been watching your videos today did you find a good tune with the 44.8 Fx pellets?I'll end up doing some content on this tune to help everyone out once I get the gun. But here is something to keep in mind:
Panthera 500mm = 62cc plenum
Panthera Hunter Compact .30 = 120cc plenum!!
I was talking to a dude who has a 500mm Panthera who easily gets 100+fpe out of it. I really do think I can get 100fpe out of the Hunter Compact due to its larger plenum. Not sure if the stock hammer will do it, but I also have a 8mm head hammer coming with the gun as well as a Huma 14.5g hammer with 8mm head in my tool kit. That's 3 different hammer weight options to play with. I am thinking high pressure high hammer oughtta do it. Increasing the dwell time with a hefty hammer strike to dump that bigboi 120cc plenum seems like the right combo for this kinda power.
While I am waiting for that gun to arrive, if anyone has any high power tuning info to post here, I'd certainly eat that sh1t up!
I've been shooting 44.5gr Hybrid slugs perfectly at 950ish fps at 175 bar with the Huma 14.5g hammer weight. Others have confirmed my tune. With pellets you could use the stock hammer at like 150 bar for 860-880fps.Been watching your videos today did you find a good tune with the 44.8 Fx pellets?
I know this is old, but I'll be receiving one next week. Do you remember how many shots you were getting with those 880ccs of air at the tune you stated?I've been shooting 44.5gr Hybrid slugs perfectly at 950ish fps at 175 bar with the Huma 14.5g hammer weight. Oh do I ever. I'm still shooting this gun in that same config as my absolute go-to superpower yeet cannon for coyote dispatching (and...well.... everything else, too)I know this is old, but I'll be receiving one next week. Hell yeah! Given your tune that's better than what I have seen or read out there. I saw shooter1721s video where he said he was getting maybe 35 shots shooting fx 44gr at 870fps with 1000ccs. It nearly made me regret getting it. I'm in South Florida, so I don't, I have to deal with that kind of temperature.Oh do I ever. In the summer it will get at least 2 13rd mags --> more like 30 shots realistically. In the winter at least 1 mag (and that's in frigid 20F midwest temps)
Might be my favorite gun ever.

What can do you like to use?
