FX Panthera and dynamic problem

Ok so my friend that shoots a lot he retired and goes out shooting all the time he has a panthera 22 which started leaking out of the front of the valve the oring that seals it looked trashed and I replaced it with a viton oring it was the only orings that I had that fit so I put it in now his dynamic 30 cal is leaking in the same spot anyone else having this trouble like I said he shoots those 2 guns a lot so I don't know I like to hear some opinions and ideas thanks

well, the valve can be slightly bent, or it happens, although probably not much, that the insert part of the stem valve and its seating surface can be damaged

The valve wasn't bent the oring looks worn out like it was not hard enough

The center of the oring was like pushed out all the way around like it had seen a ton of cycles there isn't anything on the stem either that it rides on

I'd try to increase the durometer or maybe try something like Polyurethane as they are known for being a bit tougher, although unsure how well they are suited in this particular application.

90 duro and polish where it rides.

I don't want to increase the sticktion though all I have at the moment is viton to put back in place

I personally avoid b. valves and the like for this reason, too high maintenance and too much tuning around stiction / run out friction...those o-rings take a beating over time.

I agree with you I like the old school way Im not a huge fan of the balance valve either

Its not hard to change just a pain in butt
