Hey guys, What slugs have you found to be most accurate in your 600/700 pantheras with the heavy slug liners 16/1 twist rate barrels?

Can the Maverick 700 be all that much different? Same liner...

I've just started using slugs in my Panthera 700 .22. I have some NSA 28.5 gr .218 going at 1053fps seems to be accurate and I've shot them out to 300m. I have some Gen 1 Javelin 34gr .218 still trying to find a good tune for them. I really need a good day with wind for testing.

Have very good results with the Zan .218 33 grain (new design) at 296m/s.

Have a 700 that is shooting the Javelin 34grain Gen2s at 980fps and getting groups the size of my thumb.

Gen 2 Javelin 40gr .217 at 1010. I’ve tested Zan, HN 40’s both .217 & .218 and just recently Altaros (from 850 to 1000). Nothing comes close to these Javelin G2’s out of my 700.

I use the same in both my Impact 700 and Panthera 600. Since I shoot many ground squirrels I was looking at overall cost as well as accuracy. I shoot the NSA 31.2. My guns seem to like the .2175 or .218. When hunting I shoot at 1025fps. Just testing things on the rifle and playing when home 975fps.
