Pacific Airgun Expo 6 months away

The Pacific Airgun Expo is scheduled for April 13-14 2019 at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, California. An easy one hour drive from the Sacramento International Airport, the Pacific Airgun Expo is a biannual event that is always a lot of fun seeing old friends and making new ones while buying, selling, and trading stuff from our favorite hobby. The education alone is worth the journey.

We will once again have a "state of the industry" meeting and group dinner Saturday evening at the brewery across the street from the event.

"Hangtown" Placerville is a tourist mecca with a lot for the family to do while you're hanging out with the west coast's top airgun dealers, manufacturers, and collectors trading and buying airguns and equipment. Take a few extra days and make a vacation out of the event to fish, pan for gold, shop, and explore the colorful history and beautiful vistas of this picturesque area. You can find links of things to do from golf to skiing to gold panning and much more here: http://www.pacificairgunexpo.com/area-activities.html

There are a variety of hotels and B&B's in the area, as well as free boondocking at the nearby casino. You can find some links here: http://www.pacificairgunexpo.com/lodging-suggestions.html

I secure the venue, run some newspaper ads, and leave stacks of flyers at very many gun stores, but this is primarily a grass roots effort. Our niche is not big enough to fund me the ability to do some kind of huge marketing blitz, so it's really up to all of you that want to see a good event to help with the marketing. To that end, new updated flyers are on the web site for downloading and printing to pin up at your local club, gun shops and shooting ranges or for posting on social media: http://www.pacificairgunexpo.com/pae-flyers.html.

The shopping cart part is not turned on yet; we'll get that going by January, but you can find lots of other information about the show, the local area, and pictures from the 2017 event at http://www.pacificairgunexpo.com

I’ve never been there, and plan on going. Is this event like a powder burner gun show, where one can buy new guns or HPA equipment from vendors, at a discounted price?

Also, in typical gun shows I see folks walking around with rifles slung on their shoulders, for sale. Do we see this typically at air rifle shows, also?

i live across the canyon from Placerville. I’ll be there for sure.

Bigragu,

You mean to tell me there might be another airgunner on my hill, or should I say our hill. Identify yourself......LOL

"Across the canyon" would that be in the Georgetown vicinity or in the other direction.

I too live across the canyon - in the Gtown vicinity.

Cheers

Houli! I’m actually in the Auburn area, and yeah, I have to cross that canyon to get there, lol. I’ll be there, for sure. I’d like to meet up. I’ll be wearing a red T-shirt and drinking a soda. Oh, and wearing levi’s. Look for me!

im still curious as to what to expect from you Airgun show vets. I’ve never been to it. Are vendors gonna be there, selling stuff, like Joe B for example, having his own booth? Do folks walk around with air rifles slung on their backs, advertising them for sale? Do companies like Crosman or FX attend these things? Just want to be prepared!
