Went to the Pacific West Airgun Show this last Saturday, and although some may say “ahh, it was ok” I’d like to say I had a great time. This is my third year attending and at most I only purchase a few Knick knacks items I need, never any big purchases, I always have a blast. It’s mostly the camaraderie I enjoy, and this year I finally got to chat up with MOTÖRHEAD , I met QBALL for the first time, and also met up with SACRAMENTO SAM. Sam sure had some cool samples of his 3D work on display just like this Taipan stock that lightens the gun by a solid pound-
.
I also met some vendors whom I’ve never seen before, and it’s always a pleasure to meet up with Gene and Rodger, the owners of airtanksplus. That company has grown, and aside from carrying tanks recently added to their catalog, they are now carrying upper tier PCP’s to sell. They had the new sidewinder on display, a couple of daystates, and also the new Epoch. Man, what a beautiful gun, and well packaged. That sidewinder with the removable rotary mag and how it locks itself back in is an engineering marvel.
So all in all a great time. Had lunch with QBALL and man that guy is a wealth of knowledge. Funny guy, too, as I almost choked on my food a couple of times due to laughter.
I tried picking MOTORHEADS brain, just to see how he contorts himself to some of the shooting positions he gets into that would leave me farting and probably soiling myself, lol.
Saw a few elderly folks, going from
table to table using canes and some using a walker, and to them I say “good on you” for still being out there, pursuing this hobby, and just plain enjoying life. This truly is a great community, and you can see the passion in these peoples eyes.
