Pa. shooting ranges.

I am interested in the air gun world until I discovered that in Pa. you cannot use an air gun of any kind on a state gamelands shooting range. I live in a retirement community where I cannot shoot anything. My only choice at this point is to join the local gun club and go back to waiting for ammo to become available at an inflated price.

Where is the source of this? I'm not aware of it and never heard or read anything like that. I've shot at a range with an air rifle over at French Creek

I didn't find any mention of airguns in the above regs.

I live in PA and just recieved my Hunting License here. Every year there is a booklet that hunters recieve with ALL the hunting guidelines and any other info you could ever need to know for hunting in PA including where you can hunt. Its very clearly stated that air guns ARE legal bow in PA to hunt and what calipers are needed for which small game you hunt. Wherever/Whomever told you that info is completly wrong

I think DavibB was just referring to the gameland ranges. But I didn't find anything against that in the above posted rules. He should be good to go.
