P17 and XSP 120D side by side

The Beeman P17 offers accuracy and velocity. German engineered and designed single stroke pneumatic. Single shot pistol produces up to 410 fps. and you can squeeze a bit more out of them with a good tune. recoilless and no CO2 required. 11mm dovetail if you want to add optics.

XSP120D is an interchangeable barrel both .177 and .22 pistol with a single pump type. Its a pistol style with lightweight, small shooting vibration, high precision, nice adjustable trigger. 342fps with .22 barrel.

Both these pistols are almost identical. With the exception of some screws. The XSP 120D was probably a for runner of the P17.

The P17 has a couple of extra grub screws to hold pins, fiber optic sights. And alan head screws in the grips.

The XSP has adjustable trigger not the P17 but it can easily be modified. XSP the grip screws are philips head. there are no grub screws to hold pins.

The rest of the guns guts are identical

Yes the barrel will fit the P17.

Good to know. Thanks.
ive seen some builds where the barrel protrudes from the gun a few inches. I think it’s a lw barrel. I’m not aware if this is a “purchasable” part, or if they have to be custom made, but I would think a standard length barrel in .22 would lose accuracy due to such a drop in speed.

I have compared them as well, the P17 has a 2 piece piston, the rod unscrews from the piston. On the XSP the piston and rod are one piece. It is also sensitive to which side is up on the piston, with one side up giving better velocity than the other side up, go figure? The 22 barrel had a really poor crown, it was more of a smear than a crown. I didn’t actually shoot it before I did the brass screw re-crown of the barrel. I also shimmed the barrel to get a better breach seal. After the crown was worked, it will shoot peanut size targets off of a stand at 17 yards reliably, has a 1.5-4x pistol scope on it, shooting AA Falcons.

I have two 120D. One shoot harder than the other. I think I'm going to flip the piston over. That may be the reason. Thanks for the tip.
