was looking at cyber stuff lol looking through the list of pellets, see the 14.35gr jsb at almost 28.99 bucks a tin, i realize not a really used pellet like the 16-18 gr but golly gee is that crazy, so i looked around at the other shops to compare.
trenier is 16.99
utah is 20.99
high presure is 20.99
i really dont understand why such a big spread in prices thought there was a limit to map pricing?
i think the people better take hard look as they gotta save what they can as the pellets are getting crazy to shoot.
p-air at 25-30 a tin they sure should have whoever is marketing that place as i sure dont order from them, you get free tin but your not saving nothing
 
Yeah seriously - F U Pyramyd for your price increases which are not in line with the rest of the industry. Noticed this a few months back. Prices are stupid high on all JSB. Clearly trying to make up for their buy 3 get 1 'deals'. Not even a deal any longer - nothing less than a total price gouge. They lost my business on everything except ammo within the past couple of years and now they've lost that too. Hope they are watching threads like these.

JSB 15.9:
PA - $24.99
Trenier - $16.79

JSB 18.1:
PA - $22.99
Trenier - $15.99

Even the Crosman 14.3 @ $11.49 - come on.

Sometimes one place will be slightly cheaper per tin but the per tin price is often very similar when true acquisition cost is divided by how many tins were on that order. By true acquisition cost I mean the actual amount you were charged (tax+shipping).

PA's listed per tin price is because the price of their promos (free shipping over $150 or buy 3, get 4) is built into their listed price. It's all just marketing.

I too find Jeff @ Trenier's marketing mindset refreshing. No gimmicks, he just lists his per tin price at what it actually costs. No 4th or 5th tin free like other places do, and you pay shipping when you order from Trenier, with no option of free shipping over X$ so to arrive at a true acquisition cost when going with Trenier you've got to include the price of shipping.

My take on pellets from Trenier versus PA? Jeff won't yank you around. PA will make you feel like you're getting a deal, by putting in a promo code or getting "free" shipping. But from either place, you pay surprisingly similar amounts per tin, once the dust settles.

This makes think back in my younger years of my career. Every time there was a company meeting. This old timer would announce as we walked into the crew room. “Get ready, here we go again!”
With the high demand for pellets, it allows them to charge what ever you’ll pay for pellets. If you’d like to see the price drop. Stop buying pellets. Start using some of your private stock. Let the retailer shelf’s fill up and collect a little dust.
The prices will stabilize, probably lower.

Im not going to complain about PA prices because PA is helping keep our FT club alive. Thanks PA for all your support to FT clubs, your continuing support is helping FT grow. The BFTC could not be where we are without it. While we had to postpone our first ever awards match, it would not have been a consideration without PA’s support. So thank you to all who buy from PA and making the support possible. A few extra bucks goes farther than you know.

everthings different for sure, is what it is we gotta shoot. hope these halos shoot great that will drop the prices as ONE GUY SAID, just hope the halos will have enough supply, as im sure they will be keeping up with the supply chain

Everyone got bills to pay and mouths to feed. That being said the internet makes it easy for us to find who sells the same thing cheaper. Hope P-air can get their cost under control since they will lose sales to other retailers. The order back log should ease already or soon, the gravy train ride is ending. Then again they are making as much money from one tin as others selling 2 tins so they don’t need as much sales volume.

This “can be” misleading. Sure, it is the price of one tin, but comes out to be equal to Trenier when you factor in the discounts.Trenier just drops in down to the same price regardless of how much you order.

$24.99 x 3 = $74.97
$74.97 / 4 = $18.74
$18.74 x 90% = $16.86
Basically the same with the everyday 10% coupon.

$22.99 x 3 / 4 x 90% = $15.51 (less)

And then free shipping…

Pick a BF sale like we just had at 14% off and the difference becomes greater.

I would say they are pretty equal.

Yup. 100% markup or Keystone pricing is pretty normal as the starting point for a lot of products. It seems like the profit margins in the shooting industry are very low compared to some other stuff with profits below 25% on some stuff. . I was told by the manager of a shopping mall that the Jewelry stores in the center court of his mall averaged 300% to 700% markup and that some items were several thousand percent markup. The jewelry store was also paying a HUGE amount of money for the lease and also had to show the mall management their books and give them a cut of their profits.
