Oversized JSB EXACT Jumbo heavy 18.13 gr.

Opened up a new tin of 18's the other day, loaded up a few mags and what?!?

Had to really push them into the breech and accuracy was all over the place.

For a quick check I tried a couple in my other .22 Vet and same thing.

So I measured a few and they're right in the .2190 - .2195" range.

Anyone else ever see this?

Might want to check to see if there is a label on the back of the tin....I was accidently sent some 18gr 5.53mm heads instead of the normal 5.52mm also, but, I do have a pellet sizer so no big deal for me.

matt maybe you got some crappy ones i got a tin of 16 gr that were pretty poopty i stopped buying jsb seems like the fx die are better skirts seem to hold up better also

Well, I think it was mislabeled....here is one of the tins I received that has a sticker over the sticker but both say 5.53. Maybe call and see if they will exchange it or get a 5.52mm pellet sizer. My pellet sizer also works as a bent skirt repair tool.

Good idea. I might also try those new H&N pellets.

Anyone have a .22 cal gun that likes chubby pellets?

I've been turned away from the 18gr pellets now for about a year. Had some real good ones for awhile then got some tins that weren't consistent. Have been using the 16gr variants JSB, AA, FX with more consistent results. I know Motorhead has done the same as well no longer using 18gr. I did have some of the H&N 18gr and they did well also.

The last few I bought where to small. That was over a year ago. I switched to H&N.

Jsb had it right with the Grey label 18.1 . None of the new stuff is better out of my guns. Supply getting low.

Did you try shooting them?, I’ve had good results from the larger head Dia. Especially in my poly barrels. I’d pay $25 a tin for 5.54 or 4.54’s!

My .22 Veteran shorty didn't like them.

I only shot 20-30 of them outa that tin.

They measure 5.56 - 5.57mm.

If I still had the .22 I would by them from you, my buddy would be interested in the .22’s though, if you have any > 4.53 .177’s I’ll buy them.

I will say I’ve never seen head size >5.54 though?
