Other AirgunSmiths or is Ernest a Single Point of Failure?

I suppose that I didn't capture the gist of my intentions well enough in the Subject line on this thread, where I was trying to go with this was to figure out if anyone else is doing like ER did, by engineering, manufacturing, and selling custom parts. That void seems to exist now.

If you're looking for someone to build you a gun from nothing or by making their own parts you will be hard pressed. Will Piat as mentioned will make.modify parts as needed, so will AZ, other AG tuners I'm not so sure about. Given the technical nature of airguns they are far more difficult to make and assure performance than a PB.

AZ is outstanding and can do.

Keep in mind not all tuner tune all rigs - some might but not most-.

( and pardon my name spelling is needed)

Joe Korik has been known to put a wrench to an airgun - sure he's a bit of a regulator and titanium ( air tubes & other ) specialist but a know respected tuner.

David Slade has what 30+ years as an air smith, has parts, has a lathe knows airguns and has an outstanding reputation, remember there is some reason so many call him the trigger man.

Was having lunch at a fellow shooters house while sitting next to a box of springer parts with 2 pistons, seems he is one of two peole in the U.S. Mr. Whiscombe trained and authorized to do Whiscombe repairs, he also knows a few other airguns well.

Anthony Stoery was the opriginal Korean smith and is still around.

And I've met at least 5 more professional tuners at shoots, they just dont do youtube or even post on forums.

Nothing against any of the new folks but I still like using the older tuner with years and years of experience even if they areess know to many new airgun folks.

Had to send my MK2 .25 compact into FX USA for service. Loss of pressure and AMP Reg creep. Bryan is handling service. Not sure why FX won't just replace regulator and figure out what is causing creep by examining defective regulator (s). Received rifle on 12/14 and it has been in the shop for a month now. Under warranty so got that going for me. Thinking of sending it in every year for servicing during winter months. It is nice to know there are air gun smiths in vicinity of upstate So Carolina. I like my WC a lot. However, EdGun R5M is starting to get my attention. Seems a little more robust. Hard to figure out FX strategies. Implement new technology and very little communication on how to use it. Ergo AMP Reg. for example.Oh well, this appears to be a burgeoning business. I prefer the more simplistic platforms over the more complex. Can't imagine the issues the Daystate Pulsars will encounter. I need my rifle to be ready when needed. Especially a hunting platform.
