Original ST FX barrel and slugs?

Anybody know if the original ST barrel will shoot slugs.

It will shoot the FX Hybrid slugs decently.

Seen cautions about shooting regular slugs (not the hybrids) through an original ST barrel. Didn't see any explanations about why not to but it could be because of the choke.

Yes it will shoot slugs. You should be asking. Will it shoot slug accurately....well no not really. You be better off with Jsb pellets.

I just did get some to try and in my streamline at 40 yds they are stacking on top of each other. When I get time this week we will see how they are doing at 100. Poi was almost exactly the same as 18 grain jsb at 40 only a 1/4 inch lower

I am curious, what FX model and barrel length? I would love to try some in my 25 Wildcat MkI with just a ST barrel.

Interesting to hear the hybrids are shooting fine out a St barrel. Still waiting on them being released in the UK but will definitely give them a whirl in my St 25 streamline. What speed were you shooting them at?

I am sorry guys I have been so busy I just haven’t had time to really test them. I did pop off 8 shots at 100, no chronograph but they were hitting a mil dot lower than the 18 grain jsb. Groups were about an inch and one half. So they seem to not be as good as jsb pellets at that distance. If it was windy though I would have no problem taking a shot on a pigeon still accurate enough and cut the wind well.
I think with the cost of them too I will hunt with my jsb pellets but on windy days I will use them. Or if you just wanted to make sure you anchor things a little better. They do make for more drt kills,
