Original Sideshot Mag Milled For 66gn NSA FBHP .30 cal

I'm modifying my Impact to reach about 140 fpe and needed a heavier slug to reach my goal. I'll start testing with the 66gn NSA FBHP but I'd rather have a 70gn flat nose.

I had to mill about 2mm out of the original Sideshot aluminum magazine for the longer bullet. The back wall of the magazine should still be 1mm thick.

I thought I'd post a pic just in case anyone was wondering how heavy they could go. You can't feel the machining marks and the slugs slide easy.

Yes, very cheap 4" indian rotary table with a very cheap 4" chinese lathe chuck. I used it for TIG welding turning it slow with a cordless drill before I bought the mill. Tilts over 90 degrees.
