Has anyone had any luck with opening up the transfer port on the origin? I’m a tinkerer and have been thinking about trying it on my origin 22. What’s are the mods that have been done that actually increase the power on the origin?
I understand. I’m more curious if it’s worth doing with the origin. I greatly appreciate the info!Use caution in...opening up things...
The entire air passage should be of the same volume. Each section (or part) should be about the same size (volume) for the "best" usage of air. NOT one area any larger than another.
That screws up the overall airflow volume and speed.

Just my two cents. Have you narrowed down the projectiles that you are using and that the rifle barrel "likes" them. And are you hunting, plinking, field target? Opening up for more power is good, but not really viable in the Origin platform. It has a very nice sweet spot. Actually two and utilizing with a specific projectile in these zones is (just my opinion) more consistant. Some videos on U-toob explain this and also good suggestions on pellet/slugs to try. If you are plinking, then go with pellets and enjoy. If you are going slugs for varmits, then get a chronograph and see where the sweet spot is. Standard deviation (variance in fps) and accuracy at distance will help you get more humane dispatches once you get things dialed in. Then see if modifying is what is required, or like so many of us that have dived down the rabbit hole. Get into other platforms of pcps (manufactures) to acheive more fpe. Glad you are close by [ Kansas} I also own an origin, but in .25 cal.. But have two other airguns ahead of it that I am "tuning" finding what they like in projectiles and fitting and kitting. A Kral and a Hydra, the Hydra I am regulating, it is a refurb and has issues. JohnI understand. I’m more curious if it’s worth doing with the origin. I greatly appreciate the info!
