I have had very good results with HN sport 13.73gr 5.50. But
I have not tried the excite and will do. The sport has worked better for me than Meisters and being cheaper works well all around.

I have not really tried to push the range of WC in either .177 or .22 but to 15-18m they are devastating on rats. Most of my pellets are shot offhand at targets, so I really like WC and wish there were some in .20. Offhand, I am getting so shakey with age and damage that I imagine the cheapies would do whatever I want. I am, all the same, trying the JTS 14.89gr .22 and they are really accurate off the bench.

I use wadcutters in my hw55 for wasps at 30 feet. Head of the wasp close to the head size of the wasp.
They work great on in barn night pigeon hunting with a R7. Good transfer of energy without hurting the roof.
