For my bitter sweet relationship for my Skyhawk.
This rifle has spent about a year broke down, then a member fixed it for me. Then the usual fill cap leak, then the main tube leak again and again.
Being almost blind makes it difficult for me to get this rifle sealed up, but lately I solved most of the problems by adding a “t “ fitting with a fill nipple and gauge to by-pass the p-15 troublesome fill probe assembly.
I love the rifle, it has a 20 inch lw poly choked 22 barrel that is deadly and I love that walnut stock. But tryst has been a difficult thing on this lovely pup.
After having my shooting eye removed, all my shooting is now wrong handed, so that side lever is trying to access my brain through my left ear hole. I have lusted for a forward side lever kit for some time, but wanted to get the leak issues sorted out first.
I considered just buying a p-35 and put my lw barrel and Skyhawk stock on it, but mistrust in Snow Peak quality control prevented me from pressing the button on the Krale site.
As of now I trust my Skyhawk enough to put $180 USD in it, bur for me SnowPeak’s snow is forever yellow and I grew up being told not to eat yellow snow, so paying $460 for a donor p-35 will not work.
A member here offered to sell me one extra he had, but I could not get in touch with him, so I ordered direct from Hie. That took some doing to find him, but I now wait for 2 to 3 weeks for the kit.
Regards,
Roachcreek
