Oranges vs Hades, a second look.

Thanks Jim. Fixed mine as well.

@qball. Are you referring to .25 cal? I don’t have any .25 Hades. I put in an order, but is taking for ever to arrive.

yes, .25 hades. Btw order from pyramyd and they shipped my order yesterday and I ordered Sunday night! Think that’s the only pellet I got from them that shipped in reasonable amount of time, they shipped from Utah instead of Ohio for Whatever reasons. Speaking of which I better order more before you lots deplete the inventory! LOL

interesting story, I was convinced that the Hades isn’t any better than done for hunting so I switched back to 25.4 King and got one starling. The bird died on the spot but when I went to look for exit wound it was really hard because it was really small. Even though the Hades pellet head doesn’t appear to expand but it does something the dome pellets don’t and always have a MUCH larger exit wound. Needless to say I’m back on the Hades bandwagon, coupled with near impossible wait times on the 25.4 pellets I just gave up and ordered more Hades and heavies for longer shots.

Just canceled my order. I like Pyramid, and will order from them again. But this was getting ridiculous. Also, JSB sent me the .177 Hades for review. I actually had them on that order, the other pellets I am happy to wait for & will order when there’s a sale & will order bulk then.

I have plenty of .22 Hades and I’m quite happy with those.

i was very dissappointed using hades from my wildcat .25. 885 fps. lost accuracy much past 50 or 60 yards. so now i have over 3 full tins that will sit. i bought a couple tins in .22 for my compatto. havent shot them yet since it loves the cheap daisy HP.

yes, after about 60 yards I switch to JSB heavy. Hades is mainly for the backyard.

Got another starling from my bird feeder with the .25 Hades, no mistake on where the exit hole is. Guess Hades and Heavy will be my close and far hunting pellets. Once I can get NSA 26g slugs to work then it might replace the heavy, maybe.

Hades vs polymags would be a logical next step. I still think the polys do more damage.

Both of them are quite accurate at 50-60 yrds out of my 350mm leshiy.

To OP: I think the test should be repeated at least 5-6 times, to make it statistically valid. But thanks for the info.

This comparison is in the books. However, I will tell you straight up, for me, the Hades are just that much accurate than the Polymags, at least in .22.

I can try multiple tests, maybe with clay. Or if I can get a bag of old fruit for cheap. I’m not gonna buy a bushel of oranges just to try that theory out, sorry.
