I ordered a Sig Kilo 1000 rangefinder from Optic Planet. Got a good price and shipping was free. Well after I ordered it I seen some horror stories about them and though it will be months before I get it or I’ll have to cancel the order. Well I order it Sunday night and received it today. Thats faster than Amazon now a days. The only comment I can make is the blast their company logo on the box.

I’ve heard those same horror stories about Optics Planet. However, each time I have ordered from them has been a positive experience with zero problems.

I'll only order from them if it's something I really want and can't find it anywhere else online and if I'm willing to wait for it. I think the longest order for them to ship to me took 3 months even though it was in stock.

While they are not my favorite, I too have had a few orders with them within the last 1.5 years. A couple of Benjamin ReCharge compressors (they had the best price and were the only ones who had them in stock), and most recently a couple of Vector Optics Veyron compact scopes (purchased through their eBay store when they accepted my 'make an offer' price).
All 3 orders went through properly, shipped when stated, etc.
Only 3 orders, so maybe I haven't given them enough opportunity to screw up. Still not my favorite vendor, but so far so good.

I have an order waiting too, made it 21 September, all I have received is emails that they are working on it. I figure that it isn’t in stock, and they are not going to get any in stock, I am just watching to see if they charge me for it.

I've bought many things from Optics Planet and their satellite company Dvor. Never had a problem. Returns are easy too if you don't like what you bought.

Just bought a Athlon Midas Tac from them about a week ago. Got it in 4 1/2 days. Arrived well packed and In good condition.

I’ve had only one bad experience with the Them, they shipped scope via. USPS and it took 4wks to get it! Everything shipped UPS came within 4-5 days. And I’ve ordered 6-7 scopes from them.

I used Optics Planet a couple years ago when I was looking for a lightweight quality scope for my Taipans.
Must have bought and returned a dozen before I finally found what I was looking for.
