Optic Ordering

I read a post here where it was mentioned, ordering from a company friendly to returns. Is there such a place? In the past I have only ordered scopes I have used. But in todays air gun world I am not familiar with scopes. I certainly don't want to take advantage of a company but returns can get expensive.

i rely on cyclops videos to get critical information regarding reticle style. properties of scope etc. try to make informed choice , however , if i don't end up "feeling it" with the scope , i resell at a bit of a loss. or try contacting the company to exchange it for another , again , for a reasonable cost. most usually agree. granted , my way of doing things may not be agreeable to all. however , what's the alternative? you will never substitute having a scope in your hands. Optics really can add or take away shooting pleasure. i just cycle scopes in and out until i find one i really like. regrettably , those likes are generally north of $500 each. ouch.

OpticsPlanet and Amazon have great return policies. So does Primary Arms, but you pay shipping back from Primary Arms.

I’ve returned scopes to SWFA and OP for exchange or refund without incident. Dvor (OP clearinghouse) does occasionally have some great scopes at great prices but returns are for store credit. Pays to read the fine print. Uj

I would have preferred to sell the scope here and loose a little instead of wasting money on postage. However since I couldn't be sure the rheostat / switch was actually ok. I couldn't sell it in good faith. I would like to try another Hawke but? I can't really blame a optic company. I wouldn't want to pay for a scope that had been returned. I had hard companies exchange no questions and wondered
