Opinions Please...

I am leaning toward picking up an Umarex Gauntlet. I have a Puncher Breaker in .22 and a Marauder in .25 I guess my question is, who among us owns a Gauntlet in .177 and how accurate is is and at what range? Would the .22 be a better choice at longer range? The appeal of the .177,to me,would be reduced sound level and higher shot count. I really like the QB style platform and enjoy the whole "fine tuning" experience. Thanks for Your help people!

Mike.

would seem the vote for caliber would be .177, complete the collection, otherwise i would probably say "why bother?" it would be more of a duplication of what you already have in many ways to get it in .22 or .25.
It's not first hand experience, but i heard from a guy he was selling his streamline in favor of his gauntlet. He had to do a bit of tuning to the trigger and cocking to get it up to par with the streamline, but for the price he takes the gauntlet out more because he isn't worried about beating it up some, and the accuracy is just as good according to him.

although i completely understand the draw of "that other gun". I love my marauder pistol, but i dropped the cash on the Ataman Ap16 even though it is also a .22 with a little less fps than the marauder, but the draw of true pistol size was strong. With a moderator on to bring the noise down to about the same as the marauder, the AP16 is only 2 inches shorter.
That said the Ataman seems to be much more accepting to many ammo types, difference in a top tier quality barrel i suppose. Which is something i would not know unless i bought and tried it.

this airgun itch is a bad one!
