Opinions for Athlon 8-34

haven't used the Athlon 8-34, but I do have the Athlon 6-24 FFP Mil Mil scope. It's an incredible scope. However, what are you going to use it for? 34X will show every wobble, every heartbeat, everything will move the cross hairs at that magnification. Even for 100 yards, I don't typically go 24x Yeah, you can see a flea on the dog's butt half a mile away, but finding the dog will be a real challenge.
Just seems like complete and utter overkill for any airgun. My Athlon is on an Impact and still seems a bit much at times.
Then again it depends on what you want to use it for. I'll say Athlon makes an incredible scope.

ARE THEY (ATHLONS) REALLY TRUE MAGNUM SPRINGER RATED? Diana 54??? MAN GET A LEUPOLD 6.5-20x40 EFR CUSTOM SHOP RETICLE. Or the the $299 5-15x40AO Mildot BUSHNELL TAC on sale at SWFA made in JAPAN LIFETIME WARRANTY NO BS and it's CLEAR LIKE A MUTHA!!! I have TEN of them. Almost as clear as the $699 SWFA SS and $750 LEUPOLD EFR. I have NOT seen ANY $500-$650 NON BUSHNELL BRAND scopes that's clear as this one. Yo!

Athlon has nice glass. I own 2 of them a 1-6x24 and 2.5-15x50 both incredibly clear. I have used the 2.5-15 out to 135 yards easily seeing the open end of empty shotgun shells. both scopes have nice reticles.

I have that model on the .25 Red Wolf HP. I like it a lot. I shoot from a MTM front/rear rest (1 piece) and find 34 not much of an issue. Might be over kill for a springer though and not 100% sure it is springer rated.

I have a sig asp 20 .22, and that seems way overkill. a 4-14 FFP is plenty. I have a 4-16 SFP on mine.
