Open sights on a bulldog?

I,m thinking about buying a Bulldog. But I would like to try some open sights on it. I like the flip up fiber optic sights & there pretty tall. I understand the bulldod 

needs a tall sight. Have any of you tried open sights?

Those flip up type work just fine on that long rail. Irons, holographic, 1-4 WA. It's a Hunter. Not a BR gun so yeah irons are a good idea. Crosman should offer them.
