One Unit Of A Groundhog

[N2 Shooter]

I went to my permission to try and catch any groundhogs out and about. When I was pulling up, I saw this guy make a mad dash to its burrow. So I deployed my pop up blind and set up the shot. After an hour or so, he pops back out and is making its way to an area and couldn't cleanly see from the blind, as I was shooting through a 3- slat fence. As soon as he presented a shot, I took it, and this is the first time I was able to drop a groundhog with a bodyshot shooting Hades.

For reference, I wear a size 10 boot.

Shot with the FX Maverick VP in .30cal slinging JSB at 960 fps.

It was my first kill out the blind! I was really surprised how effective it was, because I was using the largest blind opening, and he was only 35 yards away

He's was a super chonk! It's possible he was bulking up on some horse feed. If I were to guess his weight, it would be in the 15-20 pound range. 🫨🫨🫨
