Thanks everyone, I want to do head shots, but I think at times I should do a heart lung shot when it's presented to me, it would have dropped this Rat DRT....

I'm using an ATN X-Sight 4K 3-14x, with ABL1000 laser range finder, it does best video when down loaded directly from the SD card, WiFi doesn't do as good.

It looks like the rat might have moved his head a little upward just before impact so you hit low and miss the brain possibly. I'm sure the rat is still dead eventually. Some of the big rats are extremely tough at videos where they got nailed by Victor snap traps with nails protruding from the base. After some time they managed to wiggle out of the Trap and live for many weeks after until I killed them another way. I have another one it's pretty big that I'm debating whether to go for a headshot or a lung shot with a .25 polymag at about 840 feet per second. What's the best location to hit the lungs is it right behind the front legs about 1/3 down from the top them of the body?

This is my biggest pet peeve with the system! They clearly have the data to get it the highest quality footage, but they refuse to do so. I think I am gonna write my own app for the scopes.
