One thing leads to another

I hadn’t used my Beeman P1 in quite a while. And I really was never better than average with it. I decided to change it up a bit. I added a Hirdhawks shoulder stock and a Burris Fastfire red dot. I never expected it to be as much fun to shoot in this new configuration as it is.

Since I’m more into PCPs at this time, one thing lead to another and I ended up buying a Leshiy Classic .177. I’ve only gotten to shoot it a few times because of the very wintry weather we’ve been having, but I’m really enjoying it. So basic and simple to shoot and easy to fill.

I was wondering if others here ended up with their next airgun because of a similar progression? Or how some end up with so many different guns? The $$$ spending on this hobby can be a slippery slope.

It's a very slippery slope, lol. Those are two very nice carbines, indeed! I really like the wood stock.

I've honestly wanted both. But I think my collection is currently at a standstill. Although I keep tweaking and improving the ones I have.

I got a Crosman 13xx a couple years back. Having had one as a kid, I never had the $ to upgrade it. Down the rabbit hole I went.

Some untold # of funds later, It's pretty much as good as I could make it. Though, I do have 4 valves for it and a few TPs I will still be experimenting with.

Well, eventually you get tired of pumping. So you buy a pcp.... 😂 Make it a rifle. Well, you need a pistol, too, right? What happens when you turn it into a carbine? You're gona need another pistol, right? Haha, and so it goes.

I've got a bottle rifle, a backup bottle rifle 😅, a HW springer (got to have one), a pcp 1322, the original pumper 1322, 2 pp800's, one carbine stock I can use on either., a semi auto pcp, and I think that's it? Yep, I've got enough for the time. Here's the one that started the madness as it is now.

My progression in airguns. Slippery slope is an easy way to put it. Bottomless pit might be a more accurate description for some of us. ;^) I started out with three 2240 Co2 pistols and ended up building my own PCP rifles and a couple of pistols. Oh, I guess that was five 2240s cuz that is where the Arrowgun, the Blue gun and the Ratgun originally came from as well. It was after these that the Impact came out and I knew I could not come close to building something like that. So I bought one and started modifying it instead.

.25 PCP rifle built off of 2240 with Discovery tube 24 inch DAQ upper early Corcoran stock

My second PCP mod ten of fifteen years back.

.25 PCP pistol shortened Discovery tube DAQ upper, Corcoran Grips

This is my third PCP mod second pistol.

Ratgun .22 BNM breech, Bluefork Design gripframe, MP15 stock, Discovery tube, STX liner for the barrel.

Fourth PCP mod second rifle

Arrowgun/9mm carbine from 2240 with shortened Discovery tube, DAQ 9mm upper, Cothran valve.

Fifth PCP mod

Blue gun .22 Custom Air breech FX STX liner for the barrel, System-X dropforward, JDS Airman 13ci tank with 1200psi reg, RB grips grips I believe.

This is a continually modified gun from the beginning it was number one and I just finished it up a month or two back for the forth or fifth maybe the final time?

The perfect gun is never done. 😉

Impact .22 Superior liner, Michal's plenum, valve spring mod, ported barrel and probe, drilled VS, hammer spring shimmed and hammer weighted, UTG TBNR bi-pod, mono-pod mod, 300cc bottle, ATN night vision with Leupold LTO thermal spotter on top. This gun used to be a .25 slug gun that I plinked paint cans at 200 yards with. It can be there again in ten minutes or so.

So it's been a very long road and a long post for me as well.

Day three of being shut up in the basement and unable to get around cuz of the snow and ice.

Similar story for me... but I started in the deep end with the Leshiy Classic, then went through the cycle of better and better guns and scopes and compressors etc. Ended up with a bunch of guns I couldn’t really use enough to justify them so I sold them all except the HW97K. I recently decided to get back into the shooting part and just buy one nice gun... lol. I bought a new Leshiy 2 and an ATN 4K scope with the ABL range finder on it etc etc. Now I am looking to add another longer gun to it... HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF!!!
