One size fits all target?

We are trying to get a few local guys together for fun shoots. We would love to setup something field target-ish. There isn't enough interest for anyone to invest in specific field target guns (yet) so it becomes a "Shoot what ya got" type of event where one guy has a 10 meter gun and another guy has a .30 impact. We have been using disposable targets like candies, animal crackers, rubber duckies etc. but would love to find something re-settable like field target targets. Any ideas for a target that works from 6-100 FPE?

Different sizes. Placed so shots are difficult. The universal target. My sons and I set them on a trails near my house three cans in each location. 10 yard to 50 yard in five spots. We each get one shot. Here is one of the trails

Stoti,

We shoot at Redwood Gun Club. Sounds sad but we got together one day last July and again once this July. 2 or 3 of us go out once a month or so. We are all amateurs and just love playing around. There was record attendance this year with 7 shooters! My Daughter, her Husband and I were 3 of the 7.

It will sound lame to most but we are loving it.

Not familiar with the Redwood Gun Club (Samoa?) but I’ve wanted to get some people together too. I know there are field target matches here in Nor Cal but that isn’t what my boys and I like to shoot. There are quite a few of us from the Bay Area North over to Grass Valley. We need to get organized and put something together. For the fun of it of course! My boys are only ten and twelve but we shoot a lot and they’re getting good too. Have a great weekend!

Soda cans, really probably the best. But here are some other ideas, the inflatable plastic bottle tops... work really well but 6ft lbs may not be enough depending on the plastic bottle you choose (choose a very cheap, lightweight one and try it out).

Maybe some of these, pretty fun offhand.

Or up the game to this

This is a fun target, 6 ft lbs may not trigger it, but another shooter could trigger it and the 6 ft lb gun could shoot the launched can.

Necco wafers are pretty good. Ice cubes, army men?

Have fun!
