One shot, one kill

I usually have my HW30, HW50 or LP400 ready to go. I have a limited area around the feeder that I can safely shoot at. Starlings and HOSPs still think it's a safe feeder. It's close, 20 to 30 yards and a few trees I can shoot them out of. Doesn't take much at that distance and I don't want to shoot into my neighbors yard. I leave peanuts in front of my gallery and squirrels will occasionally oblige me with a perfect shot. 😀

For me it's the Edgun Leshiy 2 in .22", firing Crosman pellets. Usually with a 3x 640x480 thermal scope on it, but I'm experimenting with a hybrid thermal red dot. Most of my pesting is at night.

My shots are usually 20 yards or less. The longest shot possible in my yard is about 30 yards, but unless I'm plinking I never have a reason to take that shot.

My .22 Pathfinder XR for smaller pests, sub 50 yards… just took it out of the safe this morning. First shot at my forty yard spinner.? Hit! But more importantly, where I was aiming. Luckily for them, most small critters get a pass in my backyard…

It’s a really interesting feeling to have a gun so dialed in that it doesn’t feel “sporting” to shoot at some critters. I don’t mind it at all. I’ve even started to use my scope cam to record some of them just frolicking around.

I love that I'm seeing slug shooters in this category.

I bought my 250z specifically for slugs and it’s only had one tin of pellets through it… I’ve read some speculation that storing the air around the barrel helps with the harmonics 🤷‍♂️… all I know is the gun is more accurate than me 😂😂😂 and even completely cold bore it will shoot where I aim it haha…. I love it, couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first real PCP.

This one is easy for me and my hunting crew….Uragan 2/3 700mm in either .25 or .30. Most of our hunting ranges from ~100 yards and beyond using slugs. It’s almost boring….almost 😉
Beautiful. The scope looks really clean too. I’ve been seeing a lot about those Urugans lately and pretty much all of it has been people raving about how much they like it. That’s a great sign.

Have a 2 and a 3. Absolutely stellar, only gripe is the mechanical noise and potentially a ping if you’re unlucky and they missed the depinger. ES of 6 or smaller, SD 1.x on both, crazy accurate with pellets and slugs…
