one ragged hole defined

Yeah, if you shoot enough pellets you can make a pretty big ragged hole ;)

For a session I shoot 5 shots at 5 targets and think of the results in these terms...

- pellet on pellet is exactly that - one hole very close to the diameter of the pellet.
- one ragged hole is a round group with all pellet holes merging
- a clover leaf is a number of distinct pellet holes with the edges overlapping
- a chain is a series of holes in a line
- a group is all pellets within a one inch circle with some individual holes visible
- a pattern is a group that exceeds one inch in diameter

I typically shoot at 40 yards so I'm pretty pleased with a one (5 shot) ragged hole group - no fliers, no pulled shots :)
