One piece rest.

I have the FX Impact MK2 and over this last winter I made my own one-piece-rest. There are million ways to make one. From initial idea couple variations until today, always work in progress. When you start using the rest you will see what and where you missed or what would be best to change.

Buying one is easy, but to make one can be really priceless.

i love the macgyver stuff! especially now with the internet, or if you had a mcmaster carr catalog, you could cobble together all sorts of things.

i have used parts i got off a typewriter from goodwill to make things for work, lol.

Caldwell Stinger has been the top favorite with our local group. Fits virtually any rifle. I have personally used it very successfully with my Red Wolfs.

I recently purchased one of the Hawke Pro Benchrest units. I had watched a lot of YouTube videos of European shooters using this rest, marketed under the Deben brand, but not available in the U.S. Now under Hawke they are.

The Hawke is more easily transportable as compared to the Stinger - a little smaller and lighter. But I don't get as solid a feeling on the bench top with it. So the Stinger remains my favorite if I want the best stability & accuracy, in my hands.

Is the Stinger all metal? I am just up to getting my very first 308 style - custom rebuild from second hand - Match grade barrel for 400 meters target shooting, and for a first aid I may buy the Stinger until I figure it out, this price is comfortable.
