One hole group challenge - smallest group size

Hello @rsfrid

Ross I'm sure you noted that I shot this with the "new" pellet, the 10.34gr and I am pleased with this considering I had winds up to 14mph. I tried a One Hole Challenge out at 25-yards on several cards but I had no luck, pellets all over the place, so I moved in to 10-meters.

ThomasT
Wise choice. I really doubt anyone can get true one hole at over 10 meters. Even that is pushing it. This exercise was simply to give some challenge for those of us shooting short distances indoors.

😁👍🏻…. I’ll get in on this today when it warms up just a bit. I’ll be using my .22 Dreamline at 15 yards. Shooting 15.89 JSB’s. 5 shot group correct? That’s what I usually shoot when plinking. This should be great fun, and what a perfect excuse to shoot 😁. There’s a bunch of great grouping on here already. 🙌🏻👏🏻
Welcome to the addiction. Yes 5 shots, any distance, any gun. But the goal is one hole the same size in millimeters diameter as the pellet.

My card for today. After trying several times for one hole groups with my Atomic XR, I gave up and went back to ole trusty - my HW44. I'm now scoring myself with one hole groups out of total of 9 bulls. Today 6/9 and this is 177 cal so one hole is about 4.5 mm. Need new backer board as groups are getting pretty ratty - not nice clean holes.

🤦🏻‍♂️….. 🤣 well I’m not gonna win on group size, but check out the consistency in my 15 yard, outdoor group. I’m pretty happy with this. I discovered I’m probably shooting a little hot for the Hades, but that was after the fact. I’ll spend some time with my beloved “Abigail” and slow her down just a tad. I don’t think she needs to shoot that hot. We’ll see. I’m thinking 890-900 is gonna be better.

PS. The last photo was shot at the low setting on the power wheel with the hades.

Thanks so much for letting me tag along, this was a lot of fun today.

Beautiful rifle. My wife shoots Dreamline 22 cal. She does very well with 18 grainers. I'm using a HW44 for this exercise. Nice shooting by the way. Just have fun and work towards improvement.

My latest attempts indoor at 13 yards. Using single shot tray, sandbag rear, 5 shot groups.

JSBs 18s: 1/4” ctc. / TP on high

AAs 16s: 3/16” and 1/4” ctc. / TP on high

CPHPs: 3/16” and 5/16” ctc. / TP middle

Crosman Premiers: 3/16” and 5/16” ctc. / TP middle

Hello @rsfrid

I am turning in my offering early today because my weather is going bad. Shot my new Katran .177 this morning with a mixed bag of pellets and only 40 rounds at my 25-Yard MOA target at 25-yards. Yes It is too long of a distance for a One Hole but this is not too bad of a result at 8.96mm.

Gotta stay dialed in so when I get my new shooter I can do this at 25 yards! 🤪😅🤣😂🙄
Hello Ross,

Winds from 15 to 20 mph with guts to 30 kept me inside the shop shooting at the Big Bang Pellet Trap. The Trap worked great but the shooter needs to plan a trip to the eye doctor 🤪

Have another quart of coffee. At least then you can blame it on something! 🤪😅🤣😂

Hello Everyone

Just received my order for the H&N Baracuda FT 9.57gr 4.5mm Hand Sorted Pellets so I just had to give them a try. Seems my Snowpeak PP750 really likes them, shot a perfect 200 on the first try. That first target is all me, the rest were almost all black.

Now I can't wait to give these babies a try with my FX Crown and couple more of my pistols.
