Pesting has been real slow for me lately, as luck would have it I was looking out my window and I saw a target, so I sprang into action!!!

I was looking out the window and this monster was working on the edge of the flower bed under my bird feeder. I knew I could get him, I had been practicing yesterday with some paper rat targets my son gave me for my birthday. I grabbed the "gopher gun" a .22 Gamo Urban with a bug buster scope. The 8 yard shot hit at the back of the head and exited out at the chin, a quick clean kill. 

Gophers do so much damage to our plants and trees we have to trap and shoot them starting every spring all the way until winter.

Mr. dizzums,

I try to have the patience of a cat, if I can just sit still long enough near the mound I may get the shot. That is one gaping wound on your gopher, I bet that hurt!!! Every morning I have mounds like yours...only next to our fruit trees and flower beds.

yes, its hard to catch them in the act poking their head out .. sooner or later they always mess up though lol ... when one gets active and trailing mounds across my yard daily i keep the gun on the table by the door and make sure its at prime pressure and everything ...
