One decision made, but still trying to decide on another

So I've decided to get an ATN 4k Pro 5-20x digital scope. Now I just need to decide which gun it's going on. I'm going to mainly use it for daytime scope cam with an occasional snipe of crows that come around. I am planning on going hog hunting this fall down in Tampa, but in the meantime I don't have many hunting opportunities. So far my choices are FX Crown, Royale 400, 500; RAW HMx 25; Cricket Carbine 25; Brococok Bantam 22, or Umarex Gauntlet 25.

I've got my ATN scope mounted on my 10/22 Ruger. But I have the 5x20 gen 2...which works great for day or night.

Can I make a suggestion? Get the 3-14x. The field of view is way better. Also, with digital scopes... even this one, things get fuzzy beyond 10x. Take the $ savings and get the ABL range finder. It’s fully functional, and will act as a sun shade too... which really helps with clarity.

Also, around your question of what gun to put it on... get the ATN Quick release mount. It holds zero really well (pesting context). I regularly swap between 3 different guns. I can shoot in under 90sec easy between swapping guns.

Have fun with it!

I saw all your videos and see that you swap your scope from gun to gun. I'm not going to be doing much pesting and will mainly be plinking so more than likely it will stay on the same gun the majority of the time. I have the ATN Laser Ballistics 1000 on the radar. I actually found a 5-20 for a great price so that's why I decided on it. Even with optical scopes I normally leave it on 12-16 power so I won't be using the full 20x magnification.

bd,

If filming is a priority, the 5x model will be the better choice due to the higher base magnification. When I'm hunting with mine at night, the wider field of view of the 3x model would provide an advantage.

Also, the one piece mount from ATN would be great, but it won't work with any receiver that is split for the magazine, like my SL and Crown. I have to use two piece rings for that.

You're going to love it I'm sure. The battery life is amazing.

Hello Bob - I did get the 5-20x because they were on sale and cheaper than the 3-14x. I got it a couple of days ago and trying to figure it out. I'm using the rings that came with it. I tried to use some FX no limit but I didn't like it. I had to get far closer to get good eye relief. I have to enter the ballistic information and zero it, but by the time I get off work there's not much daylight left. I might just zero it at 35 yards in my backyard until I get a chance to zero it at 50 -75 yards.
