Omega Air Charger Rebuild

I just got mine rebuilt by Todd I just contacted AOA they gave me at odds number I called him and then took the cylinder and piston sent it to him, he rebuilt it for $150 plus $25 shipping back to me now it works great again.

I also had Todd rebuild mine after one of the lines melted from touching an high pressure line. He only charged me shipping. But also still under warranty.

I need to go through the drawing and order all the orings this thing needs so I can just rebuild it myself next time. Wish there was a little more info out there on it and some videos of the break down and assy.

OK,

I'm done with this air omega charger. I've been told the parts are coming for almost a year now.

I'm throwing the whole thing into the trash. Its failed me twice or more now and I cant get the proper parts.

I would advise anyone looking at OMEGA chargers to be careful. It looks like the newer designs have the have a similar

inner piston design. The support was OK at first but was failing from the Factory and not Todd.

I'm going back to a shoebox compressor. At least it still works and I have a lot of spare parts till a solid compressor

shows up.

Yea the shoebox was good back in it's time but way too slow and you have to hook up another compressor. I really don't miss my shoebox at all. Sold it a long time ago.

I would just rather use my YH if I am going to mess with all that.

Apparently problems arise when these compressors aren't used often enough. I saw a utbe video about an Omega failimg to build pressure. The head tech guy, Todd? said The orings and seals can get dry from not running enough. The start up after sitting too long ruins the seal. The recommendation is to run it at least twice a momth up to 300bars. Plug the whip, run it to 300bar, bleed, cool and shut er off at least 2 times every month. The Omega's that are worked the hardest seem to last the longest.

I've heard the same thing - Use the Omega compressors regularly (at least monthly) for longest service life.

I've also heard that a second type of failure results from too much lubrication. When the little light on top (I have a TurboCharger, also on the SuperCharger?) turn the knob(s) 1 click. More clicks or more often is more lubricant, and more is not better (especially in this case).
