So with all of this barrel switching going on, especially with the new Compact Wildcat MK II, is it possible to make a switch to .22 caliber from the current .25 caliber that my MK I has? The tank is so long that if a standard MK I .22 were used, it would not look too great, so is there another longer barrel FX .22 barrel that would be as long as the .25 in the gun now? That would also work with the current shroud and LDC, right? I assume that the OD of these barrels is the same due to the switchability, only the inside caliber changes, right?
If so, what might that barrel be? Is it one of the newer 'X' barrels? Would anything else need changing such as the bolt? Would the .22 magazine still work with the .25 platform since it has 10 openings versus 8? Is this too much work to make that switch?
Lotsa questions I know, but inquiring minds need to be fed.
