My grandfather died last year at 97 and we recently found these in his closet. 2-3 of them still cock and generate power, but most, are bits and pieces. There are some of obvious different era's, but that doesn't really mean anything. Would any of these possibly have any value to a collector? Or is it a pile of rubbish?

I can't help with either, can only recall some Crosman 760 Pumpmaster Collectors on this forum, there must be Red Ryder guys out there, too. Most here I've found to be honest, so I'd trust what someone might say about worth. For curiosity's sake I'd check out eBay and see what Red Ryder searches reveal. I know I've seen Crosman 760-gun collections, resembling yours, for sale on eBay, might offer value ideas. Best of Luck, WM

Don't know how interested you'd be in this, but, in your shoes, I'd research Daisy to find what clues are available to determine the age and rarity of just what I had. Might have a run-of-the-mill collection or some rare pre-production Red Ryder stuff. Maybe I've watched too much Antiques Roadshow, but I'd be darned to let someone else get the "good news" that they've just become very rich, while I walked away with a hundred bucks in my pocket. WM

If Daisy stamped model/serial numbers or just by design changes, I'd find out how to determine age. Then, depending on what you find, you'll get some idea of rarity. If it ends up being a collection from the 70s onward, wouldn't get too excited, but if your late grandfather, or the person he inherited the collection from was an original Daisy gun designer, who knows, maybe Daisy wants the collection. Well, I'll get off the soapbox now and wish you the best, no matter your decision. WM
