Old pre safety BSA Meteor .22

Old eBay find. Made in England. Probably a ten pound trigger pull! Three 5 shot groups at 25 yards. 14 pellets under a quarter. No wonder I only pull it out every 6 months or so.Had to order special rings from England. Fun blast from the past. Anyone else have one?

Nice looking gun and groups. I saw one at a garage sale once. It was pretty beat up and I had talked to the guy for about 15 mins about it. Could not get him to budge off the asking price. He was way out of my price range.

I've a mk1 and a mk2, I'm in England and every other household has a Meteor!! 

The mk1, Serial number N264, It was nickel plated at the factory but it's almost all gone now!

 

The mk2 (Both are number one bore)

The same four pressed out short scope rails!
