Driving a car that already is beat up and dented is one of the most freeing things. Old guns are the same. If you scratch a scratch is it a new scratch? 
I have a FWB300 that is in about same condition. So enjoyable to shoot.

My oldest purchased new is 50 years old, a FWB 124d, I did pick up a couple of 150's a few months ago and they are pushing 60 years. When I buy used I look carefully at external condition. Most of mine look almost new. I do shoot them but baby them, wipe down with a RIG impregnated piece of sheepskin when finished. Same for my firearms. I have a Marlin 39a from 1952 with a rust spot on the magazine tube. My father loaned it to an uncle back in the later 50's at one point, and he did not take care of it. Dad never loaned out again.

Shows the people who had them and they shot well to enjoyed shooting them regularly

Wonderful examples! I feel more comfortable shooting the guns with patina. Really nice ones are often just for show and tell, kept in pristine condition for the next curator.

Two each FWB rifles and pistols were purchased, looking good but knowing they needed work. I spent the money sending them out to be resealed and respringed so I could shoot them. They still even being over 50 and 60 years old look pristine.
