Results OKCGC National 50 April results

Oklahoma City had our first club National 50 benchrest match of the season this past Saturday April 1st. It was a little on the windy chilly side even though it was in the 50's, got up to the high 60's. When we started the match, the wind speed was around 16-18 mph and stayed that speed during the whole event. We had 9 shooters show up and all shot their first 3 cards. After match #1 was complete we gave them the opportunity to either shoot another N50 Match or a 25 Meter Match. Three of them stayed with the N50 and three went to the 25 Meter Match. And three did not shoot again.

Match #1
Pellet: Keith who came out from Ada, Ok took 1st for pellet! Caleb was 2nd, Tony was 3rd and Dave 4th.
Sportsman: The "Donster" Don Faulkenberry with a nice score of 718 (25x's) with his .22 LR. With Stan in 2nd and Larry in 3rd.
In Pro: It was Richard for 1st and Joe in 2nd.

Match #2
Pellet: Caleb took #1.
Sportsman: Mr. Tony Smith with a 718 (26 x's)! Larry was 2nd shooting his .22 LR!

We had Michael Ashworth from Wichita Kansas come and look over what we are doing. Thanks Michael for making the trip!
There were some old hat benchrest shooters and some that have never shot a bench match before, exciting!
I am glad everyone came out and had a good time. This will be good matches we feel! Having nice benches to shoot from makes all the difference with good scores going forward.
Thanks everybody for supporting these National 50 benchrest matches!!
See you in June for the next N50 match.

We shoot two different matches on Saturday, a 25 Meter and a N50 match. I forgot to post the USARB 25 Meter scores. Oops
We had 3 of the 9 N50 shooters move over to the 25 Meter benches and shoot a 3 card match. Joe, Stan and Dave moved their equipment over and started shooting while the other 3 shoot another 3 cards for their N50 Match #2.
Thank you Joe, Stand Dave for shooting both 25 Meter and the N50 matches today.

No sympathy from me. A couple of destination points I attend :
Arlington Tx. is a four hour and Clifton Tx. where the TexTreme matches are held is a little over seven.
Most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Get on the mailing list. We are having a XFT match on 6-3. I'm pretty sure they let Kansans shoot

We will be posting our schedule for our matches for this year by Wednesday. We had to move a couple of things around. But it will pretty much stay close to what it was on the OKCGC calendar.
Again thank you for the interest in OKCGC,s matches. Looking forward to a great 2023 season!!
