With the snow earlier in the week, it was looking like our 3rd Saturday of the month shoot may be in jeopardy. But by Friday evening, we were able to set 20 targets and had a 40 shot course to enjoy. Our shooters (11 in all, 3 traveled from the Tulsa area) had to be mindful of mud and some snow, but everyone managed to stay upright and kept their balance to complete the December shoot.

Cold accompanied by a slight breeze coupled with a previous 6” snow storm earlier in the week was not going to hold back this very hearty and dedicated group of shooters. It was 38 degrees when we arrived around 10:30am and the sun begin to come out and warm things up shortly after. Lanes 4 through 6 posed a particular challenge as the angle of the warming sun rays created some glare in the scopes. I failed to bring my floppy brimmed hat thinking more about keeping my ears warm wearing a knit cap instead. 
it was easy to understand why fewer lanes than normal were set up as the trails to the lanes as well as the lanes themselves were wet and slippery with mud from the previous snowfall. 
As always we had a ton of fun. Hats off and double kudos to the OKC club members for hosting another fab match. Hoping the weather is cooperative January 16 2021!! 
Everybody who wasn’t able to make it out for this one, don’t hold back next month. Bundle up, bring some hand warmers and do some KZ smackin’!!

Looks like you guys had a great time! From the few windicators that I saw on the barrels, it did not look like you had much of a problem with wind.

Also, shooting in the wooded areas would have dissipated any wind. Good shooting.

You’re right Mark, not too windy and our shooting yesterday was wooded except for a couple expanses we had to shoot across. 

We were especially lucky the wind was down or the 38deg start we had could have been a lot tougher.
