Back to the rat farms the following Friday night and it was shocking for me to see so many rats running around in one setting. A big mama and quite a few of her babies were having a feast at the feeder. I was lost for words for a moment and got right down to business and took out the baby-making-machine. Then just tagging the babies one at a time.
I got there late so I didn't have a chance to layout some lumbers under the feeder for a safe backstop. But I eventually placed some there and made my shooting a bit more at ease. Farmer also showed me another spot, the chicken sheds, where lots of rats frequent there also.
It was a busy night and memorable for me.
