..............and........... something ive been wanting since 1985..... a real , authentic , old-style bsa supersport. they were $199 back then and rated at 840 fps in .177. the r1 was $299 and rated at 1000 fps. and the rws (diana) model 36 was $139 and rated 1000 fps.... i bought the model 36 from cabelas in 84-85 after saving from sacking groceries - and attending a hunter safety course my parents made me attend (i'll never forget that class - monte stallcup taught)... this one is in .22 , chronoed 680's with 14.3 crosman premiers today , has the thick metal solid trigger - and maybe i can put it on paper soon....i'm almost caught up on repairs ... ive had a couple .177 lighning xl rifles - which were super cool , but hold sensitive for me. the folks that bought them loved them. idk. i'd rather have .177 in the old-style supersport , but it hasnt worked out for me. i somehow ended up with a .22 bsa lighning tactical that shot very well for me (660 fps with 14.5 gr) , so i'm hoping this will be a good thing (for me). i find it strange that .25 cals of this powerplant are rated so high velocities...even using 17 grain bsa pylarm pellets...so i probably need one in .25 , too...
