Because it’s a “pellet only” competition. If “anything goes”, what’s the reasoning for “diabolo shaped”?
You too sir, you are one of my favorite shooters.Nikolay Boldov Won this event and did nothing against the rules. If they want to change the rules let them do so. This man and also thane are monster shooters. Congrats to both of you.
Again at this level everyone is good and the slightest edge means everything. 1.3% might as well be 1300%His score was 1.3% higher then second place. How does that constitute a "magic" pellet was the reason he won.

I think it’s to limit the BC.Because it’s a “pellet only” competition.
I to congratulate all competitors that finished in the top ten sponsored or not, a lot of great shooters attended. But I personally was rooting for the unsponsored shooters that invested their own time and money without the support of factories or distributors/dealers, we all know that a relationship between manufacturers and distributors etc. make for a very hard combination to compete against! Many of us do not have the resources or the time that these combinations provide, like someone working for these conglomerates to hand test several barrels and choose the perfect barrel/ pellet/tune combo. “This is just one example of the advantage this provides including spare parts and technicians to replace or utilize for repairs”while the actual competitor is off at work or spending time with their families!. Allowing them to concentrate on practicing only.
I personally saw and overheard many Daystate and scout shooters talking about the custom barrel manufacturer they used for their rifles! (Not naming manufacturer but you can easily see the spiral fluting on outside of barrel!) so obviously testing was done and the OEM barrel wasn’t up to their standards!
I know I will take a beating for this and some of my comments take away from this competition but had to get it off my chest!.
Maybe Steve @ AEAC will visit and film , would that be proof enough ?I understand what you're saying but the whole Mass Production rule doesn't say that the pellets must be available globally. How do we know that other shooters in Russia aren't using them and that sanctions aren't blocking exportation? And how many pellets does it take to qualify as Mass Production and how does anyone prove it?
wait...with Daystate rifles? That's awesome. I want a tack driving Daystate one day. So far I have struck out everytime I bought one. User error maybe. The Daystate Wolf Pack was the dominant force in this years PAC.
First in Speed
First in Hunter FT
Tie first in WFTF FT.
Great job to Wes, Barb, and Lauren!!!
Yes, and what I’ve learned from all this is the ACTUAL rule is “diabolo shaped pellet” is the only rule. Competitions should just say that and delete the weasel word “rules”, because frankly, there are none. IMHO.I think it’s to limit the BC.
Nikolai came up with a higher BC projectile that’s legal for PAC. Good for him.
@Franklink , good thoughts but when we are all shooting sub .1BC projectiles no matter what advantage the projectile has every shooter is still constrained and bound by constantly changing wind conditions. The 100 bench range at Cardinal Shooting Center is wide open with a low-ish U shaped dirt berm surrounding us on three sides. Conditions can change so quickly, in the blink of an eye, that the projectile must obey the wind once released from the pipe. Give 100 shooters equal equipment and he who reads the wind the best ... wins.
Yup, two Daystate and one BRK. Better overall than FX or Karma.wait...with Daystate rifles? That's awesome. I want a tack driving Daystate one day. So far I have struck out everytime I bought one. User error maybe.
RMAC allowed it so I guess if they say good, it's good for all. RMAC is the governing body I suppose.I think it’s to limit the BC.

A few thoughts come to mind in no particular orderAnother thought is to have maybe 3 different classes 1-factory= under 100ftlbs Diablo pellets only, stock factory components only. 2- open= any ftlbs any after market components any Diablo pellets custom or mass produced. 3- Slug= any ftlbs any slug, allow any custom gun and components.
Problem I see with this structure is the host of these events would require many extra personnel with the knowledge to understand, control and enforce these rules. This also would require much morel time to run these different classifications!
The big events like the PA cup police this in their sanctioned WFTF, hunter class, spring and open field target competitions. I believe originally pyramid air was centered around field target not BR. But the other’s were centered around BR. First?.

I agree with you Mike. Please don’t hide behind your keyboard. Who are you? Keyboard courage is cheap and abundant. Thanks in advance for stepping out from behind the curtain, Newby.
