For future reference the only thing that is ok to go inside is divers silicone grease or other similar high quality silicone lubricant. It’s safe for the high working pressures of pcps.

Yep, none of my guns ever see anything with petrolium base. Ever. Unless it's on the exterior of the gun. Never on any of the seals.

Imagine how many asses might have been saved had folks heeded the Voices Of Experience before, rather than after the fact(s).
Example- I jacked-up a perfectly good .30 FX Boss by using it in a speed-silhouettes competition; my first attempt at SS. I should have listened to a very wise and experienced airgunner arguing against entering that competition with such a fine and EXPENSIVE new gun, but succumbed to others "Come on; you'll LOVE it!" Three months later, the .30 Boss just arrived back home from FX USA after a $200 repair (not including shipping charges to them).
